The aid itself was nice and definitely helpful once it came through. I guess I just assumed the approval process would be quicker, since usually these things seem straightforward, but it ended up taking longer than I expected.

"Good Courses, But Not Always Career-Changing"
edX has some solid courses and I did learn a lot of useful basics. That said, for my career it felt a little mixed. The content was helpful, but I’m not totally sure employers care that much unless you complete a full program or earn a certificate.

"Tons of courses to choose from"
I was surprised by how many course options there were. I found stuff on pretty much everything I was looking for, from coding to history, and probably a dozen other topics I didn’t even expect. It was easy to browse around and pick something that fit.

"Refund was quick and painless"
I ended up cancelling my course and expected the refund part to be a bit of a headache, but it wasn’t at all. Support got back to me with a clear reply, basically saying something like, “No problem, we’ll process that for you,” and the money came back sooner than I thought it would. Smooth experience overall...

"Support was quick, but I’d appreciate a little make-good"
I ran into a small issue getting into my course and reached out to support, they got back to me faster than I expected. They fixed it quickly and didn’t make it a huge hassle, which I appreciated. That said, since I did lose some time dealing with the access problem, I’d think a small extension or credit would be fair. Still, I’m glad it didn’t drag on for days like it can with other sites.

"Videos That Actually Work, Shocking I Know"
I’ve been using edx.org for a few courses, the video quality has been really solid. Everything loads quickly for me, the picture stays clear, and switching between lessons doesn’t turn into some dramatic buffering event, which is apparently a luxury these days.
The audio is clean too, so I can actually hear the instructors without blasting my volume like I’m trying to wake the neighbors. Subtitles line up well, and overall it’s been a smooth experience. 5 stars from me

"Pretty good value if you catch a sale"
I’ve been using edX for maybe 3 or 4 months now, and overall the pricing seems reasonable. I like that you can poke around the course materials for free first, then only pay if you actually want the certificate.

Some of the bigger programs can be a few hundred bucks or more, but they show the price clearly before you check out, and I didn’t run into any surprise fees. I also got something like 20% off during a deal, so for me it’s been worth it.

"The class chats actually helped"
I wasn’t expecting much from the class chats, but they ended up being really helpful. Sometimes hearing it from classmates just makes it click, right? A few peers explained things in a way that finally made sense to me.

I’ve really liked using edX so far!! The captions help a lot, and the way the courses are laid out makes everything feel way easier to follow... not confusing or overwhelming. It also just feels really open and welcoming!!! Like it’s made for people from all kinds of backgrounds and places, not just one specific type of student.

"The forums kept me from giving up"
I was close to leaving because I’d been stuck for a while, but the forum replies came through fast and actually helped me figure it out. Glad I checked there before calling it quits.

"I ended up choosing edX mainly because the..."
I ended up choosing edX mainly because the courses are tied to actual universities and well-known companies, not just random people uploading lessons online. Seeing names like Harvard and MIT made it feel a lot more credible to me, and maybe that’s just me, but it definitely helped. The course I took felt solid overall and like it was worth the time. The site itself has a few clunky moments here and there, but the trust factor is what stood out most.

"Pretty helpful, even when they annoyed me a little"
I actually liked the quizzes and assignments on edX more than I expected. They usually lined up well with the lessons and gave me a decent reality check on whether I understood the topic or was just nodding along. Some of the quizzes felt a bit tricky, and kind of frustrating at times, but I also think that’s what made them useful. They didn’t feel like random filler questions, which I appreciated, even if I did complain while doing them

"I remember the instructors being really solid"
Looking back, what stood out to me most about the edx course was how knowledgeable the instructors seemed. I remember the lessons being clear, and when something got a little tricky, they explained it in a way that actually made sense instead of overcomplicating it. Overall, it felt like a good use of my time.

I was a little nervous about changing my plan because I’ve had a much messier time with other subscription services before. But on edX, it was straightforward. I found the billing page quickly, updated my subscription without jumping through a bunch of weird steps, and got the confirmation email right away. Overall, no issues on my end

"Fair grading, and the feedback actually helps"
I’ve taken a couple of courses on edX now, and the grading has felt fair. I’m a little tired of online services in general making you dig around for basic answers, so I appreciated that the quizzes clearly showed what I got wrong instead of leaving me guessing.
The assignment feedback has been useful too, not just a random score thrown at me. Peer reviews can take a little while to come back, which is a bit annoying when you’re already waiting on yet another platform, but it seems normal enough. Overall, I’ve had a good experience and actually learned from the comments.

I’ve been using this to study on my breaks, and it’s been smooth on my phone. The lessons load fine and I haven’t really had any big issues with it or anything like that.

"Pretty smooth experience overall"
I’ve taken a few courses on edX, I think starting sometime last year or maybe the year before, and it’s been really solid for me. The videos loaded without any hassle, my quiz answers saved like they were supposed to, and I don’t remember ever getting kicked out in the middle of a lesson. Nothing flashy to say, just a smooth experience overall.
